Dumb question About Venmo

#1
I have a question which may be a dumb question, but I’m hoping somebody can just answer it for me.

When I Go out for some service, I have always gone to an AMP. I do it pretty infrequently, but I have been doing it for about 25 years. I’m in my mid-60s. It’s always a cash transaction on the spot.

I recently saw an ad on a popular website for a girl. Her pictures tickled my fancy and I’m thinking about going to see her.

I texted. She wants me to Venmo her “deposit money” before I see her. Just a small amount. And the rest would be paid in cash at the session.

I have no idea if this is the standard practice. And I’m anxious about doing something other than just paying in cash.

Can someone tell me if what this girl is suggesting is normal practice? I’m reluctant to do something that can get traced back to me Electronically.

like I say, Im out on the prowl very infrequently, and I don’t want to be played for a sucker or get myself in trouble. I only do AMPs and I always see the same girl.
I have seen Cici over at Boyle Road for over a year, I reviewed her the first time I had my session and I just been going back to her because it’s easy and it works.

I feel a little dumb asking this question because it feels like something I should know, but I’m just not sure. I almost never use Venmo. But Venmo is attached to your bank account that much I know.

Thanks in advance.

I have 1 rule. No wiring money before hand. I had 4 different 1s try last night. "O you no u have to send money to confirm appt" then when I tell them that ain't happening. They start begging. " o please I have a son, I swear on my son I'm not gonna rob you"

It's the same thing as asking a Crack head to get you Crack and giving them the money first. That mofo is gone and so is ur money.

NEVER EVER EVER wire transfer any money or personal info to ANY provider! All you need to do is read the Valerie Skank thread for the number 1 main reason.

No personal info, EVER! If you want too see this girl that bad, tell you can give her a past provider as a reference.

Personally, I want to see a certain very high end provider but I back out every time it comes down to that verification with personal info. NO WAY.

Guaranteed scam, like any other "pre-pay" bs... never ever pay before meeting and only donate cash, never do gift cards, or cash apps etc.

If they take 10 to 20 people a day at 40$ to 100$ you do the math.
Only time I paid deposit was for well known porn star with plenty of reviews. Either then that no. Also better of cashapp up than Venmo.

It's a scam. It's some dude, probably not even from this country, that is going to be receiving this money. A lot of these pictures you can reverse Google search and you'll see them posted all over Escort sites in all different cities/locations. They probably get them from hacked phones or OnlyFans and post fake ads to try and get people to bite. Never ever send money before seeing a provider.

Well, I shouldn't say never ... the only time I would would be if I ever did outcalls (doubt I ever will) and they've been well reviewed on here on other review sites. I know these girls will sometimes ask for deposits seeing as guys do flake on them and it hurts them financially. I would never do it for incall or car dates though.

You should feel dumb. It's because of potential suckers like you that girls attempt these " deposit " scams.

Don’t do it. Venmo is a social media app. People could see your friends, colleagues and family as contacts ( if synced). It also shows history of payment between you and an individual ( not the amount of money being sent or received)
Yep, forgot about this. They'll ask you for sexually explicit photos after sharing "their" own ... which leads to extortion. "If you don't send me $XXXXX, I'm going to send these pictures to everyone in your contacts and tell them you're trying to buy prostitutes online!"

It's almost as bad as people who believe the IRS receives payment thru iTunes gift cards.

Be smarter, people.

never knew that about Venmo

fwiw, with respect to contacts and them being synced—

idk what I did on my I phone but all of a sudden I started getting random friend requests on Facebook from business contacts and calls that I received on my phone-Apparently I synced my phone to FB-
Moral - Be very careful what you do with personal information and social media - one slip could lead to potential headache and disaster

At this point there are so many deposit scams out there that it's just not worth the risk. And with Venmo you have to be extra careful that your privacy settings are set so that it does not show your transactions since for some reason they post them by default like they're Facebook. That said I have left deposits twice ever. The first time was to book an appointment with Karen Fisher who I'm a huge fan of - the deposit was reasonable and I figured it was worth the potential risk. She did not disappoint. The second was to see a provider who was well reviewed and friends with another provider I was seeing regularly who vouched for her.
